This week’s exercise is inspired by the high art of recut movie trailers. See: The Shining trailer, recut as a romantic comedy.
Below you’ll find four trailers to movies you maybe haven’t seen—just for fun, the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s are represented. For the purposes of this exercise, you only need to choose one. Make sure your sound is off and/or the video is muted before you play it. Based on the visual cues alone, write a script for the voiceover that would entice someone to go see this film.
