In a drawer at the studio recently, I came across a matchbox from a restaurant and bar that used to exist in San Francisco—the 1990s idea of the 1930s. It’s been closed for at least 10 years now, but the brand lives on in this little box that can still start your fire.
This week’s exercise is to design a matchbox (or matchbook!) for your imaginary brand. Think: if your own kitchen or living room were turned into a restaurant/bar. Start with the name, and then develop a design to match.
Cheers!
This week marks 37 weeks of Lovely Madness. We plan to continue sending out weekly prompts until we reach 40 exercises. At that point, we’re going to take a step back and decide what’s next. So if you were thinking about sharing with your friends or colleagues, now is the time!
