The assignment: Make a collage that represents where you're from. This could be where you're sitting right now, where you grew up, your ancestral homeland—really anywhere you feel some connection to.

Supplies:

  • Media you don't mind destroying (old newspapers, magazines, junk mail)

  • A cutting implement (scissors, X-acto)

  • Adhesive (glue stick, rubber cement, Elmer’s)

  • A canvas of some sort (piece of cardboard or thick paper would work fine)

Alternatively, you could work in the digital realm if that's your thing. Certainly plenty of media worth destroying there ;)

Enjoy.
